We may have not been around much on the internet (ha), but 2017 was a great year for us. And what’s a great year without a few favorite shots of ours?
Instead of doing everything in one post, we want to highlight each of our favorite photos taken during the year in the form of a blog series to get us back into the swing of things.

Of course I couldn’t do this without mentioning something related to the sweetest organization to be a part of!
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has hundreds of chapters across the continental United States, including several here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Rho Chapter, one of the first chapters to be chartered by the sorority, represents several campuses in the Dallas metropolitan area, including Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas – Dallas.
I was fortunate to be able to snap a few portrait photos of Rho Chapter’s most recent intake class before their new member presentation in April at Southern Methodist University. Whenever I’m on the job, I always think “what’s my favorite image that’ll come out of this?”
There were some really good ones, but this one is undoubtedly my favorite photo of the bunch.
SMU’s student center lobby has a beautifully-designed area upon walking into the first floor of the building. The lighting and setting was so gorgeous that I knew that I HAD to take a photo of the ladies there. Whenever I think of the image of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and one of our founding principles of Finer Womanhood, I often point to this photo. It’s truly a classy (and finer) image that was taken in the right place at the right time.
Since their presentation, these ladies have done a marvelous job of representing the sorority. Rho Chapter has been doing very well and it’s been awesome to see our DFW chapters thriving. This image also went viral throughout the month by various Greek Life social media pages. Even if this didn’t go viral, this photo will still be dear to me and I’m thankful to have been there to take this.
