We may have not been around much on the internet (ha), but 2017 was a great year for us. \u00a0And what\u2019s a great year without a few favorite shots of ours?<\/div>\n

Instead of doing everything in one post, we want to highlight each of our favorite photos taken during the year in the form of a blog series to get us back into the swing of things.<\/div>\n

Several new relationships were formed this year that I’m highly grateful for.\u00a0 A couple of those were formed on or prior to a fashion\/editorial shoot at the unlikeliest of places.\u00a0 When Dallas-based stylist Kendra Hill of\u00a0The Modern Disciple<\/a>\u00a0proposed an idea of featuring an editorial shoot at at an old motel, I was immediately sold.\u00a0 Kendra worked effortlessly for putting the concept, team, and plans together. Dolled Up At Caravan Motel\u00a0<\/strong>revolved around the following idea:<\/div>\n

GiGi and Sabel have been friends since college.\u00a0 <\/span>Their mutual friend Tatana is having the grand opening for her first art museum in Phoenix, Arizona.\u00a0 <\/span>GiGi + Sabel decided to take a roadtrip from Los Angeles to support their friend.\u00a0 <\/span>En route in the middle of nowhere, they had a major blowout and no spare.\u00a0 <\/span>While waiting on help, they decided to find refuge at the nearest motel.\u00a0 Since they are already running late, they decided to rent a room and get ready for Tatiana\u2019s event.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This project was the first editorial session many of us have done in some time, if not for the first time ever.\u00a0 It was especially cool that the entire team on the day of the shoot comprised of women – from the creative director right down to the assistant.\u00a0 This was one of several favorites from the shoot.\u00a0 Adding some color to the shot really set up a vibe that had me going “YASSS” in my head.\u00a0 The models, Gabrielle (left) and Jaisha (right), nailed this one; their chemistry working together was superb.\u00a0 I loved the experience of doing something outside of my comfort zone and working with super creative ladies in the process.\u00a0 I’m definitely excited to hop on more fashion\/editorial-related projects for the year and to work with several of the crew members featured.\u00a0 2017 was just the beginning!<\/div>\n
