We may have not been around much on the internet (ha), but 2017 was a great year for us. \u00a0And what\u2019s a great year without a few favorite shots of ours?<\/div>\n

Instead of doing everything in one post, we want to highlight each of our favorite photos taken during the year in the form of a blog series to get us back into the swing of things.\u00a0 Stay tuned for some great content for our Seven Days, Seven Faves series, starting with the following shot.<\/div>\n

I’m super thankful to have photographed a ton of amazing couples throughout the past several years. \u00a0Navarro and Britney were easily one of my favorites to shoot.<\/p>\n

Bonus: this was also my first photo session in the Washington, D.C., area.<\/p>\n

This was one of my favorites not solely because they were so much fun to work with, but this was definitely a lesson in creating something great with what you have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I’ve always wanted to shoot at a location like Union Station.\u00a0 Britney and Navarro are also avid travelers, which worked hand in hand with picking Union Station as one of the places to shoot.\u00a0 The vision for getting the shot was to capture a romantic shot during the sunset hours.\u00a0 However,\u00a0<\/span>two things wiped everything I had out the window:\u00a0 (1) it was cloudy, and (2) it was late.<\/p>\n

Instead of panicking about it, I thought “… ok, bet.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Right before we left the lobby, I looked up and noticed the ceiling, which was beautifully designed.\u00a0 I knew I had to photograph it while I was there.\u00a0 The result was probably one of my personal favorite engagement photos of the year.\u00a0 I love utilizing wide-angle photos a lot while shooting couples because it helps with capturing the character of a location as well as the people in it.\u00a0 I’m also a sucker for black and white images, which fit the bill perfectly for this image and helped with enhancing it more.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Grand Central Station in New York is next on my list, but Union Station was still a very cool experience.\u00a0 Big thank you to Britney and Navarro for an awesome time!<\/div>\n
